Weekend Roundup
All-in-all an awesome weekend. This was the first weekend we tried it with no-signups and I must say I’m impressed with the turnout. We’ve been starting closer and closer to the actual start time so please keep it up. Friday we cleared through Gehddon without a hitch. Saturday we cleared up through Majordomo. We wiped on the first attempt but the second attempt was pure beauty to watch. Sunday we popped most of the raid groups Raginity and got him down to 69%.
Here’s the tenative plan for beating him:
- Work on our DPS in stage one until we can consistantly get him sub 50% (at the very minimum) in under three minutes. This is problematic at the moment since we are losing a lot of our melee DPS early on. We need to work on getting our rogues and offtanks geared appropriatedly and maximizing DPS.
- Once we are keeping people alive and have our DPS nuking in tip-top form we will focus on our Sons of Flame strategy. The Sons of Flame spawn three minutes into the encounter. We need to have an organized plan for both crowd control and kill assisting. The Sons also do a mana drain so this needs to be taken into account.
- After we kill the sons we have to eliminate the rest of Rags life. We will worry more about the details of this part once we have steps 1 and 2 under control.
