Sorry for the tardiness of this post. I’m out of town for a bit so I’ve been busy doing RL stuff. This past week we made our first attempt at Oynxia, but didn’t succeed in slaying the beast. I have a good feeling about this week though. Molten Core progressed nicely again this week, as we can now add Baron Geddon and Shazzrah to our defeated list.

Onxyia Preview Guide

I made a write-up outlining some of the main points of the Onyxia fight.

You may also want to refer to Pacifist’s Onyxia Guide.

Farm some elemental fires/dreamfoils, major mana/health pots (if you have high enough faction with Argent Dawn), and runecloth if you have some spare time on your hands.

I promoted 3 new officers last night. Here’s why I thought these people would make good leaders:

Amun – Amun is a very on-the-ball and responsible type person. I’m hoping he will be able help me with organizing stuff and keeping the guild on track as far as management is concerned. He can be a bit hot tempered at times, but I think that this aspect of him brings something to the table that the other officers don’t (being most of us current officers are excessively laid back).

Founder – I picked Founder because of his personality. He loves to joke around and generally improves the mood of everyone he raids with. He can be a bit quick to act at times, but once again this is a trait I was looking for to help make sure our guild leadership is well rounded.

Heavensent – Pav has impressed me in this game since day 1. He is always putting other players ahead of himself and he has my utmost respect for doing so. I mean, c’mon, this guy has given two Glowing Brightwood Staffs to guildmates without even thinking twice about it. I hope you all strive to help out like Heaven does and I’m sure if you need some help he would be happy to hook you up.

So please, bust these guys balls and keep them on their toes. Congrats to these three and now hopefully I can slack off even more 😛

And in the Northern Barrens, on the highly contested border between Horde and Alliance territory, lies Warsong Gulch, a fast-paced capture-the-flag-based Battleground where teamwork and strategy are the keys to success. Simply log in to World of Warcraft to begin downloading the latest patch and start in on all the fun.

Ideally we will kill Lucifron, Magmadar, and Gehennas Friday night. Then do Garr, Gehdon and Shazrah on Saturday. Followed by Golemagg/Sulphron on Sunday. I’ll make a follow-up post, and put a MOTD when sign-ups are live.

Katerina also mentioned asking a fourth guild (Paradigm Shift) to join our Alliance so we have a few more people to work with. Comments welcome.
